Summer is upon us and nothing beats Disneyland crowds like hanging out at DCA. It did not seem to long ago when I was rather disappointed my kids requested to be at DCA every time we came to the Resort. Funny how within a couple months an Autopia and a night parade changed their little minds. Still the eldest is finally able to differentiate California Adventure and Disneyland. Within a couple of visits at Disneyland, he began to miss, of all things, Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. So we obliged. The crowds were much lighter here, especially since it was the day portion of a Grad Night. We were able to squeeze in Soarin’, Grizzly and Mermaid into the typical Carsland and Monster rotation of attractions. All in all a very good day, but we still haven’t seen World of Color: Celebrate. Being a Grad Night, we didn’t bother staying past sundown. One of these days we’ll catch a showing…
Its a June Gloom kinda of DCA
The little park is celebrating the 60th too
Hello Red Car
The Carthay is dressed up for the party
Not as over the top as Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
Still, its got the bling treatment
At the round-about
Not so busy….
Everyone watching the Newsboys
Where MadTParty has returned
Its a little different
Party is that a way…
The reason we were here in the first place
Even got the curbsitters for the TParty…did anyone tell her its Grad Night tho?
Along with Wandering Oaken’s
Where the desert airfield gave way to mountain forest recreation
Grizzly Peak…expansion retheme
Its a national park
More car props!
Who hasnt hopped in a wagon on a road trip?
A little nod to Condor Flats
Fly n’ Buy is now Humphrey’s
Taste Pilots is now Smokejumpers Grill
Soarin’ over California lost its logo
Replaced by the WDW logo
The building is much more ominous looking
No airfield would be complete without a lookout tower
