Disneyland – March 2014

Had an opportunity to see the newly refurbished Big Thunder with the family. Its the same old ride with a couple of updates here and there. What I think most people are talking about though is the conversion of the earthquake scene into one where loads of dynamite is set off before the train is sent off on its final run. With the use of projections and smoke effects, this is an excellent plus to an already classic attraction. It’s well worth the wait that Big Thunder has been down and I haven’t heard anyone really disappointed with the new scene. Looking ahead, I’m sure we can expect more use of projection technology to plus up Disneyland’s older attractions. It’s inevitable…
